Refuge and the National Domestic Abuse Helpline

Refuge is committed to a world where domestic violence and violence against women and girls is not tolerated and where women and children can live in safety. They aim to empower women and children to rebuild their lives, free from violence and fear. They provide a range of life-saving and life-changing services, and a voice for the voiceless.

They also provide the National Domestic Abuse Helpline, which is available 24 hours a day and can be reached by phone, live chat, email, and also has British Sign Language support.

Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership

The Bedfordshire Domestic Abuse Partnership (BDAP) brings together key agencies across Bedfordshire to raise awareness about domestic abuse and unhealthy relationships, to deliver services to support those affected by abuse and to work together to improve our local response. BDAP strives to bring all local agencies working together to ensure a coordinated response to domestic abuse across Bedfordshire.

As a Partnership, BDAP understand that men, women, transgender and LGBTQ+ individuals have different needs, and our response will be appropriate to your need.

It is important that all survivors of domestic abuse are provided with appropriate and tailored support in order to rebuild their lives.
